This 3.8-liter Dutch oven is a compact Valhal Outdoor Dutch oven made of cast iron. A Dutch oven is exceptionally versatile and suitable for a variety of dishes, such as stews and even bread. Its clever design allows you to use the lid of the Dutch oven as a frying pan, perfect for searing things like steak. This pan has no feet on the bottom, but is nice and flat, making it easy to place in an oven or on a barbecue grill. The cast iron contributes to the versatility of this Dutch oven. Cast iron is durable and can last a lifetime with proper care, so you'll never need another pan again. Moreover, cast iron is suitable for all heat sources, both indoors and outdoors, such as on the stovetop or barbecue. The cast iron is pre-treated with a natural oil, so you can get started with your new Dutch oven right away. However, for optimal results, it is recommended to season the cast iron a few times. The Valhal Outdoor wax is specially designed for maintaining and seasoning cast iron.
